Who We Are
Freedom Riders Therapeutic Riding Program is a non-profit organization based in Chico, CA. We specialize in adaptive horseback riding therapy designed to improve physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. Our team is dedicated to healing and empowering individuals through the transformative power of horses.
Our history
Freedom Riders Therapeutic Riding Program is committed to enhancing the physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being of individuals through adaptive horseback riding. Our mission is to empower clients by harnessing the healing power of horses, fostering confidence and independence. We strive to create a safe, supportive environment for all participants to experience meaningful growth.
Freedom Riders Philosophy
We know that together, with all the strengths and weaknesses of each individual, we are better able to face the challenges that every person must encounter in life.
We are dedicated to creating a safe place for people to challenge themselves and learn from others.
We are committed to uplifting all who come into contact with our organization and remembering to meet every adversity with a sense of curiosity and hope.
We believe that as providers we are only a companion on each individual's separate journey toward reaching their absolute potential as a person.

Jenn, runs the daily operations for the Freedom Riders program. A horsewoman with years of experience in training, teaching, events, working with new riders, and helping connect people in the horse world together. Member of CSHA also a 4H, and FFA Mom.
Megan (Meg) - Intern Trainer

Meg is a very accomplished rider. Meg is part of Pony Club, CSHA, and Former member of the Butte county 4H Equine group and rides in many independent shows. Meg is a multi-time ribbon winner with Grand Champion ribbons and Buckles in both English and Western disciplines.
As an accomplished equestrian, Meg enjoys sharing her knowledge with
